Two teens in custody at a Sault Ste. Marie detention centre have been charged with assault causing bodily harm after an altercation at the facility.
Sault Police were dispatched to the Donald Doucet Youth Centre at approximately 2:40 p.m. on May 21 after someone phoned 911 to report an assault.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, suffered “moderate physical injuries” and was transported to hospital.
A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old have been charged with one count each of assault causing bodily harm.
Both remain in custody and are due back in court in July.
