Sault Police have charged James Ellis with arson after a garbage can was lit on fire at an apartment complex in the 0-100 block of Terry Fox Place.
In a news release issued today, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service alleges that the accused started the fire, which resulted in minimal damage, on Saturday.
Ellis was located during the execution of a search warrant at Terry Fox Place later that day and arrested.
The 40-year-old accused stands charged with arson, endangering life and mischief, and is scheduled to appear in court on April 12.
