One person has been arrested for robbery after an incident that took place this summer, Sault Ste. Marie Police say.
Officers responded to a call on June 11, after the accused was caught trying to leave a Great Northern Road business with unpaid items, a news release issued today states. Security approached the accused and it is alleged that she refused to return the items, pushed the staff member, threatened to harm them and left the area.
As a result, Cheristy Syrette, 40, was located and arrested Friday. She stands charged with robbery and uttering threats.
She is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 26.
