Arrest made in shoplifting investigation

Sault Ste. Marie Police say they arrested someone after an incident of theft that happened earlier this week. 

Police allege that on June 22, 2020, the accused was caught stealing approximately $458 worth of items from a business in the 200 block of McNabb Street. 

When the accused tried to leave, they were detained by security and held until police showed up.  

As a result, Kurtis Letts, 27, was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31, 2020.
