The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has arrested and charged a 31-year-old man from Ajax in relation to a shooting that occurred on Sept. 30, 2022, in the 0-100 block of Grace Street.
On March 30, 2023, police say they attended the Toronto South Detention Centre, where the suspect was in custody on unrelated charges.
Johnathon Greaves, 31, was arrested and is now facing the following charges:
- Possession of a loaded firearm
- Assault with a weapon
- Aggravated assault
- Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order (six counts)
Greaves was held in custody pending a bail hearing and will appear in court on April 5, police said in a news release.
