Police have charged Wayne Quesnel following a robbery incident that occurred on Old Garden River Road yesterday morning.
A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service alleges that at approximately 9:30 a.m., the 55-year-old accused "approached a woman known to him, struck her multiple times, stole approximately $400 in property from her, and left the area."
Quesnel was located a short time later and arrested.
He stands charged with robbery and is scheduled to appear in court on July 5.
