On Monday, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service's Patrol Services unit were called to a business in the 700 block of Great Northern Road for an altercation.
Police say that the accused got involved in an altercation with an employee and is accused of kicking and spitting on an employee. The victim suffered minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Cheyanne Anderson has been charged with assault and will appear in court in late-May.
