A 22-year-old has been charged with assault after an altercation over the weekend.
On Aug. 27, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a multi-vehicle crash in the 0-100 block of St. Georges Avenue West.
The victim reported to police that they had been in a crash and, while exchanging information with the driver of the other vehicle, the accused came out of a nearby home, punched them several times and pushed them to the ground.
Police found the accused in the 200 block of John Street and they were arrested.
Calvin Harper has been arrested and charged with:
- assault
- failure to comply with probation order (x3)
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in November.
