Alleged assault involved brass knuckles, say police

The accused was seen raising his fists at victims

On April 9, officers with Patrol Services charged 20-year-old Darrin Barber-Addison with assault.

Around 6:00 p.m. the accused was walking in the 100 block of Gore Street and kicked one victim and threatened them, raising his fist towards the victim while wearing brass knuckles. In addition, the accused kicked another victim and threatened them before leaving the area.

Officers located the accused a short time later in the 100 block of East Street and he was arrested.

He is charged with:

  • Assault x2
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Utter Threats x2
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
