Sault Police have arrested Gerald Chretien after it is alleged that he attempted to cash a fraudulent cheque worth approximately $2,350.
A news release issued today reports that officers responded to an area business Friday evening and located the accused.
The 62-year-old stands charged with using a forged document and possession of stolen property, and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 28.
