Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have charged a 38-year-old man after a robbery at a Churchill Boulevard business.
Around 9:45 p.m. yesterday, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business in the 100 block of Churchill Boulevard.
When the officers arrived, the accused was in the custody of loss prevention officers and police arrested him.
Police say that the accused had attempted to leave the business with items they had not paid for and the accused had resisted, punched them multiple times, and attempted to bite them.
As a result, Aaron Renner has been charged with robbery.
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 27, 2025.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Renner is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
