A Wawa resident has been charged in an assault that occurred on Wednesday morning.
Sault Ste. Marie Police were called to the 700 block of Great Northern Road at around 9 a.m.
They say a security officer was punched.
Officers arrested a suspect.
Byron Parise, 29, has been charged with assault.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
