Sault Police said in a news release today that 1,194 vehicles were stopped during RIDE checks on Saturday, but no charges were laid.
The RIDE checks were set up throughout the city between 1 and 10 p.m.
“We remind everyone, if you choose to drink or use drugs, do not drive,” the release says. “Please, plan to have a safe, sober ride home. Making that decision could save a life.”
