ACQUIRED FROM:
Tom Roulston who died in 2013 at the age of 95, maintained his flying licence into his 90’s and continued flying occasionally into his later years. His wife Dorothy, who died in 2016, and their children, Wayne, Lisa and Jack donated C-FUGE to the Centre

Recreational use and used as a training aircraft
HISTORY:
The Cessna Company is best known for the production small piston-engine recreational aircraft, though it also currently produces business jets. Clyde Cessna, a farmer from Rago, Kansas flew his first aircraft in 1911, he later moved to Edin, Oklahoma where he continued to build aircraft. The company remains in production today. Since 2007, it has been building aircraft in China.
STORY:
In December 1958, a Cessna 172 set a record for flight endurance - 64 days, 22 hours and 19 minutes – to raise money for the Damon Runyan Cancer Trust. Supplies were hoisted to the aircraft from a chase car and fuel from a fuel truck by hose.
