This stunning 24 x 36 inch mixed-media art piece was created by Ikeda Rowswell with acrylic paint, textured plaster, and beads on canvas. The defiance and the individuality of the journey - choosing to forge a path outside of convention, to create one’s own route through the vast landscape of life. “Against the Current” suggests a rejection of societal norms or expected directions, while “Mapping the Uncharted” conveys the idea of venturing into the unknown, carving a new path where none previously existed. It evokes both the freedom and the challenge of self-determined exploration.
