The Beech was a workhorse, serving both civilian and military needs, and quickly became one of the world’s most famous light twin-engine aircraft. A total of 9,000 Beech aircraft in 32 models were produced between 1937 and 1960. This aircraft type was used by the Ontario Provincial Air Service to survey and map Northern Ontario. The aircraft could be fitted with floats. This particular Beech C-45 was operated by Spartan Aero Service for aerial photography and surveying, and was donated by Springer Aerospace.
