Two police officers are dead after a shooting during a disturbance call at a home in the town of Innisfil, Ont. Tuesday evening.
A statement from South Simcoe Police says the shots were fired inside a home. Officers had arrived just before 8 p.m.
One officer died after being rushed to a local hospital. Police announced this morning that the second officer had died after being airlifted to a trauma centre in Toronto.
A suspect was also "pronounced deceased following an interaction with police" says a police statement.
The province's Special Investigations Unit has been called in. A news conference is scheduled for 1 p.m.
