Advance polls at Station Mall close at 6 p.m. today, with 10.7 per cent of local voters making it out to cast their ballots in the 2025 provincial election so far.

By noon, 149 local voters had made it into the voting booth on Wednesday, with nearly 6,600 of Sault Ste. Marie’s 61,300 voters making it out over the course of the election.

This afternoon is the last chance to participate in advance polls Station Mall’s election office, located beside Eddie Bauer.

Tomorrow, on election day, voters will need to vote at the assigned voting location on their voter information cards. Residents can also look up their polling station on the Elections Ontario website.

Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday.

In order to vote, residents must bring their ID.

PC Leader Doug Ford chose Chris Scott, the first candidate who announced that he was running, without holding a local vote. Scott was announced as the PC candidate on Jan. 28.

Members of the NDP’s local riding association held a vote on Jan. 30 to choose Lisa Vezeau-Allen to be their candidate. 

Gurwinder Dusanjh is the candidate for the Liberals.

Jaycob Jacques is running for the Green Party

Arnold Heino is running for the New Blue party. 

And the Ontario Party candidate is Paul Frolich.
