Sault Ste. Marie hosted a lively local event in honour of International Go Skateboarding Day, where people around the globe are encouraged to get on their board and ride.
Regardless of skill level, everyone in the community with an interest in skateboarding was welcome to the public skate park on June 21st to skate, listen to live music, take lessons, compete, enter to win prizes, and enjoy the local skateboarding scene for Go Skate Day.

The free community event, which was presented by SooToday, Tidal Records, The City of Sault Ste. Marie and the Superior Community Skatepark Association, saw a large crowd of skating enthusiasts of all ages enjoying the festivities at the park, adjacent to the John Rhodes Community Centre.
