VIDEO: Art you can eat at Sugar

With an ever-growing list of dedicated clients, the need for a larger space was clear; Sugar found its new home in the former Big Lake Cabin location

765 Queen St. E. is the home of Jeannette Orazietti's brand new location for her bakery, Sugar.

Having honed her skills over the better part of a decade, Jeanette has baked a reputation for creating food items that are as opulent as they are tasty.

Jeannette has always had an eye for detail and a career in graphic design seemed to be a perfect fit. However, after a stint at the college, she decided sitting behind a monitor all day wasn't for her.

The next two months were spent decorating cakes.

First, just to fill time, but quickly becoming a real passion.

Some loving encouragement from her husband was the final push she needed to build her budding passion into a new career.

A year later and Jeannette was going full steam, transforming her basement into a full blown production facility.

From her home bakery Jeannette was providing custom orders, catering and later stocking the shelves of her newly opened pop up shop. The full story on that location can be found here

With an ever-growing list of dedicated clients, the need for a larger space was clear. Sugar found its new home in the former Big Lake Cabin location.
