NEW IN THE SOO: Entrepreneur touts garlic juice as solution to flying pests

Brendan Garlick is on a mission. A brutal campaign launched against the hordes of mosquitoes and ticks who threaten the serenity of your backyards and gardens. His secret weapon? A solution made with 100 per cent concentrated garlic juice. 

He launched the Garlick Advantage this year after the idea was gifted to him. He says it has been a success so far. Offering his service to the Sault and surrounding area has been a great chance for him to get out and "see some of the amazing properties" in the area, he tells SooToday. 

"It triggers a defence response in ticks and mosquitoes" says Brendan of the natural garlic solution. "The great thing is that it only triggers mosquitoes and ticks so, pollinators are unaffected."  He tells us the smell from the garlic is undetectable to humans after a few days but the effects last much longer for pests. 

"I haven't had to return to any of the properties I've treated so far so, I'll let that speak for itself."
