The City of Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma Workforce Investment Corporation (AWIC) have designed a survey to better understand the impact of COVID-19 following a year and half of disruptions on local businesses and organizations during and beyond the COVID-19 crisis.
The feedback will be used to communicate the needs of the community directly to municipal, provincial and federal governments. It will also assist with providing post crisis recovery.
“The survey aims to assess how businesses and their workforces have been affected since the beginning of the pandemic and evaluate how local businesses and organizations are experiencing additional challenges now that the emergency measures are slowly being lifted,” says Tom Vair, Deputy CAO, Community Development and Enterprise Services. “In addition, we want to assess the number of employers with remote workplaces and workers and gain some insight from employers on the challenges and opportunities as we move towards recovery.”
The October survey will be available until October 31, 2021 and can be accessed at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Fall2021COVID19Impact_SSM
Respondents are asked to complete the survey only once and answer questions as accurately and completely as possible. The survey should take about fifteen minutes to
complete. If you require assistance to complete the survey or have any questions, please contact AWIC at [email protected].
