Reggie’s Place Tavern on Queen Street East is now for sale, with a list price of $480,000.

The iconic Queen Street location of the Reggie’s Place bar is on the market, months after the west end location was sold.

For more than 25 years, Reggie’s Place Tavern has been in operation at 258 Queen Street, near the corner of Queen and March streets. Most of those years it was operated by Reggie Daigle, who is still the current owner of the building.

“That is an iconic bar,” said Ken VanDaele, salesperson with Century 21 Choice Realty, Inc. “It’s quite a downtown property, Reggie made a lot of money out of that bar for a lot of years.”

According to the listing, the stone foundation building is 6,000 square feet, with 50 feet of high-visibility frontage on Queen Street, as well as six parking spots of the rear laneway at the back of the 120-foot-deep property.

The asking price of $480,000 doesn’t include the business.

VanDaele said there might be an opportunity for a new owner to take over the bar, at an added cost.

“It has a lot of character and a lot of traffic still,” he said of the bar.

VanDaele said there is still damage to parts of the upstairs due to a 2017 fire.

”The upstairs is not in great shape, but the bar itself is in great shape,” said VanDaele.

Reggie’s Place Tavern joins Muio’s, another iconic downtown establishment, on the market. Muio’s has been for sale since August 2021 and is currently listed for $549,900.

“It’s a good time to buy, things are slowing down a little, but business is still booming,” said VanDaele. “They are really trying to promote the downtown core right now, so it’s a good time to get in on it.”
