Don't be alarmed: Local firefighters to do live burn training for a few days

Saultites might notice unusual activity in parts of town over the next few days.

Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services will be participating in live burn training from Saturday, April 20 to Tuesday, April 23 at the Sault Ste. Marie Regional Fire Training Center at 1000 Great Northern Road.

In addition, the Mobile Live Fire Training Unit will be in use on Sunday and Monday at 65 Old Garden River Road.

During the expected training hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on those days, people in the areas might see emergency lighting and steam or smoke.
