At approximately 9 p.m. Wednesday night, two Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services trucks responded to a fire at Triple M Metal located on Yates Avenue.
Sault Fire Services platoon chief Marty Kenopic told SooToday that a standalone pile of shredded vehicles caught fire in the back of the facility. A company loader was used to spread out the material and the fire was doused with water.
No further damage was reported and no injuries were sustained in the incident.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and remains under investigation.
