The hard feelings appear to be a thing of the past as Matthew Good performed in Sault Ste. Marie tonight following a lengthy boycott by the Canadian artist.
It was originally announced that Good and his band would make a return to the Sault for a show at the Sault Community Theatre Centre on March 26, 2020.
The COVID-19 pandemic had other plans.
During an interview prior to the world turning sideways and the eventual shutdown of everything due to the pandemic, Good told SooToday's Chris Belsito he was looking forward to reconnecting with the Sault Ste. Marie audience.
“I am really looking forward to it. It is going to be fun as hell,” he said at the time.
Fast forward four years and the concert finally became a reality as fans at the Machine Shop cheered on Good's return.
Presented by Cabin Media, The Matthew Good Band's setlist spanned the entire catalogue of material and included a lively sing-a-long of Hello Timebomb.
Opening the show was the Sault's own Silent 9.
From here, Good and his band head to Kingston, London, Sarnia, Toronto, Hamilton and Peterborough before continuing west.
