Soo Eagles hit the road on a high
Riding a six-game winning steak and boasting a win-loss record of 10-2, the Soo Eagles are on the road for a pair of Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League games this weekend.
With an .833 winning percentage that is the best in the West Division and second only to the Abitibi Eskimos in the eight-team NOJHL, the Eagles are in Manitoulin on Friday night before playing in Blind River on Saturday evening.
Michigan Soo native Jake Watchorn and fellow veteran forward Ryan McAleese are tied for the Eagles scoring lead with 18 points apiece.
Forward Jacob Johnston, another Michigan Soo product, is among three Eagles who are tied for second on team scoring with 14 points. The others are Aaron Leonard and Justin Scott.
Next home game for the Eagles is Sat. Nov. 7 at the Pullar Stadium when Sudbury comes to town.
