There was a RIDE check last night in Sault Ste. Marie and officers there received information about a possibly impaired driver whose truck had hit a Bell utility box near Cedar and Wilson streets and who had subsequently left the scene.The vehicle was located on North Street, where it was just being parked by the driver.
Thirty-nine-year-old Sean Burns of 389 North Street was arrested and charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
He's due in court on December 21.
