Thirty-one-year-old John Lannigan of #309-138 East Street and 33-year-old Kyna Lannigan of 234 Rossmore Road were arrested yesterday afternoon at 2:41 p.m. on Fourth Line after they allegedly attended at Wal-Mart on Great Northern Road and stole some items.

It is alleged that at approximately 2:34 p.m., the two attended at the store and took a digital recorder, batteries and some makeup and left in a vehicle without paying for the items.

Store security notified police and gave them the description and plate of the suspect vehicle.

Officers quickly located the vehicle travelling northbound on Great Northern Road at Fourth Line.

Officers stopped the vehicle and located the stolen items.

John Lannigan was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of possession of property obtained by crime and is to appear in bail court this morning.

Kyna Lannigan was charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime in relation to the incident and is to appear in court on the 7th of December.
