Ottawa lacks plan for handling crises, auditor general says

Canada has no formal plan for dealing with emergencies such as the H1N1 flu, terrorist attacks or massive flooding, Auditor General Sheila Fraser notes in her fall report released today.

Fraser says the planning gap exists because Canada's federal emergency response plan hasn't been adopted and endorsed by the government and federal departments involved.
