"There's only one Tom, and it ain't Tom Jones."

So said Stompin' Tom Connors last night at the Essar Centre.

And the 1,100 devoted Sault Ste. Marie fans in attendance whole-heartedly agreed with the Canadian country legend.

The 73-year-old Saint John, New Brunswick native is accompanied on this current tour by fellow Canadian troubadour, Tim Hus who told the audience it was the thrill of a lifetime to perform with his favourite artist.
