Four persons arrested after drug warrant executed at residence on Ransome Drive

On Saturday at approximately 12 a.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie street team, emergency services unit and the canine unit executed a search warrant at 74 Ransome Drive.

During the course of the search, officers located cannabis hashish, cannabis marijuana, cannabis resin, a scale, packaging materials and oxycodone.

The estimated street value of the seizure was $8,050.

As a result, 46-year-old John Reed and Betty-Jo Reed of 74 Ransome Drive were each charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance and two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance.

Two other females at the residence at the time of the search, 42-year-old Susan Burns of 73 Ransome Drive and 38-year-old Jennifer Fitton of 744 Cooper Street were also charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance after being found in possession of a small amount of cannabis.

All the accused persons are to appear in court on the 6th of July.
