NOTICE OF JOB VACANCY
PLANT OPERATOR ENVIRONMENTAL OPERATIONS
[18 MONTH CONTRACT]

PUC Services Inc. operates multiple utilities within and around the City of Sault Ste Marie, including supply and delivery of electricity, drinking water, provision of telecommunications, energy services and the treatment of water and wastewater.

The ideal successful candidate will possess a post secondary diploma in Water Resources Technology, Environmental Engineering Technology or equivalent, and must hold at least Class 1 certificate issued by the Ministry of Environment for Wastewater Treatment (other candidates may be considered). The successful candidate will work towards certification to the highest facility level as required by Regulation 129/04.

As a PLANT OPERATOR this position requires a candidate with accomplished communication (both verbal and written) and computer skills along with a valid Ontario Driver's License - Class G. The position requires the candidate to be “On-Call” to respond to after-hours emergencies.
