Sault Symphony season opener features former instructor

The Sault Symphony Association is proud to announce the return of Oleg Pokhanovski, the renowned violinist, and former instructor at the Sault Symphony School of Music.

This special one-night only performance of Virtuoso Violin is coming November 7, 2009, at Central United Church.

Pokhanovski will join the Orchestra for Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major, which is sure to thrill audience members in a high-energy performance characterized by an unmistakably genuine passion for the music.

Other featured works include Schubert’s 9th Symphony, Vaughan-Williams’ Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, and the overture to Beethoven’s Prometheus Ballet.

Doors open at 7:15 p.m., and the performance begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Station Mall Box Office, or at the door; adults are $32 Cdn or $28 US, and students are $11 Cnd and $10 US.
