Peacefully with family at his side on March 10, 2010 in his 90th year. Loving husband of June (Fremlin). Much loved father of Robin and Tom Boyer, Greg and Kathy Booth of California, Janet Mancuso and Les and Cindy Booth of Alberta. Caring grandpa of Mark Pettalia (Carey Thompson), Michaele-Anne (Dean) Dinsmore, Chad (Christine) Boyer, Tambi-Jo Boyer, Carrie (Len) Mainville of Alberta and Robbie Anderson, Robert (Sarah) Booth of British Columbia, Jarred (Robyn) Booth of Alberta, Melissa Mancuso (Shawn Gardy) of Orillia, Jae, Lakelind and Taylor Booth of Alberta. Proud great grandpa of 11. After 38 years he has been lovingly reunited with his first wife Jay (Janet Climie), the mother of his children. Bob was the last of the “Booth Boys”, predeceased by his brothers; Stan (late Elva, Winnie), Bert (late Doris), Alf (Inez), Norm (late Helen Zufelt), Les (Helen Swann). Survived by his only sister Edith and her husband Ken Coulter. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Katherine (Kay) Climie. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews including his fudge making requests. Bob was a proud and distinguished veteran of WWII having enlisted together with his brother Alf. An Immigration Officer who was known for his compassion and caring throughout the Algoma District, Bob was promoted to District Manager, Citizenship and Immigration, Sault Ste. Marie, later transferring to the Toronto office from which he retired. Bob was an avid fisherman and golfer who enjoyed the outdoors. We wish to thank all of “Bob’s girls” at the Davey Home for not only doing their jobs well but also for caring about him so much. Your special attention was greatly appreciated. Life long North Bay resident Win Moore (nee Davis) died peacefully, after a courageous struggle, at the North Bay General Hospital on Tuesday March 9th, 2010, at the age of 92 years. For 59 years Win was the beloved wife of the late Lorne. E. Moore who predeceased her in 1997. Cherished and loving mother of Beth Sagle (Glenn) of Sault Ste. Marie, David (Beverly) of Toronto and Penny Sampson (Ray Dubeau) of Callander. Loving grandmother of Jonathan & Amy, Amy & Brad, Bryan & Sarah, Steven, Kristy & Ari, Christopher & Lorene, Kevin & Lori, (& Christopher and Kevin's father Bob Sampson). Great grandmother of Brady, Brock, Teshai, Aria, Lauren, Victoria, Jack, Davis & Jake. The dear sister of Jim Davis (Miriam) of North Bay and the late Doris Brady (Les), Art Davis, & Eric Davis (Dora). Win will be remembered for her devotion to family, her involvement in church, community activities, her kindness to others, her fierce independence, and her love of travelling, reading, crossword puzzles and of life. Long time Sault St Marie and St.Joe’s Island resident died peacefully at the West End Villa Nursing Home in Ottawa on March 4th 2010. Beula leaves behind many friends from the Island and the Soo as well as her nieces, nephews, and family. She will be missed and remembered by so many people she has touched over her life.
