Peacefully at the General Hospital, with her family by her side on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the age of 62. Beloved wife and best friend for over 42 years to Vittorio. Loving mother of Claudio (Sylvia), Carmela Roznik (Robert), Tiziana Palumbo (Vincent) and predeceased by Giuseppe and Patricia. Dear sister of Maria Narducci (Stefano) of Sault Ste. Marie, Lisa Costantino (Lello), Pietro Piucci (Marina) and predeceased by Raffaele Piucci (Betta) all of Italy. Cherished Nonna of Lucas, Brianna, Marcus and Matteo. Lena will be sadly missed by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and by many nieces and nephews. Lena devoted her life to raising her family and was a giving person who touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. Her true joy was her grandchildren. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our precious son and brother Brian. Brian was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a great passion for nature and the outdoors. He loved animals; his dog "Harley"; spending time at camp with Dad; and chats with Mom. He loved family gatherings. Brian was a comedian and an entertainer. He was one of the best "Elvis" impersonators. "A True Legend." He was a kind, gentle soul who would give whatever he had to anyone in need, even if he had to do without.

Brian will be deeply missed by his parents Eli & Lena Palmer. His siblings Sabrina Merrett (Paul), Eli Jr. (Sue), Cheryle Palmer (Ric Thomson), Mark (Mary), Brad (Chantel), Mary-Jo Capriata, and Roylene Bowden (Josh).

Brian had a special relationship with all of his nieces and nephews: Krisha (Ryan), & Travis Merrett; Anthony & Amanda; Jill & Erica Thomson; Mark Jr., Morgan & Nathan; Cassandra, Jared & Samantha Palmer; Jessica & Jordan Capriata; Lauren & Maiya Bowden. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 12 noon until 2:45 pm. Funeral service in the chapel at 3 pm. Cremation will follow the service.

Loving father of Linda Goodmurphy (Lincoln) of Thessalon, Sharon Grisdale (Ray Hebert) of Windsor, Allan and Dennis (Robin) both of Thessalon. Special grandfather to ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Dear brother of Lucien, Armand (late Jackie) both of Sault Ste. Marie, Rita McColman (late Ken) of Thessalon, Jeanette Williamson (Ed) of St. Thomas, Gary (Neta) of USA and predeceased by six brothers and sisters. PellitierAt Sault Area Hospital (General Site) on Monday, November 2, 2009. Maurice Pelletier in his 80th year. Beloved husband for the past 49 years of Sylvia (nee Barsanti) Pelletier and loving father of Anna Pelletier Doble (Kevin), Christopher (Margaret), Peter (Colleen) and David (Cindy) Pelletier. Dear grandfather of Alexander and Benjamin, Eric and Noah Pelletier and Hannah Bruner, Brooke and the late Megan Doble and the late Brandon Pelletier. Brother of Jeannette Maccaroni, Connie Channels (Ronald), Edward Pelletier, Jackie Prosser and the late Albert Pelletier (Shirley). Brother-in-law to Velma Del Bel (late Lorie). Maurice is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Maurice was Sault Ste. Marie’s greatest Ambassadors leaving information about how great the Sault is wherever he travelled. He was Volunteer of the Year in 2005. he worked countless hours for C.N.I.B. and was active with the Ho Ho Committee for many years as well as being involved in may other community activities. Maurice was a Honourary Life Member of the Knight of Columbus and was awarded a Citizenship Award in 2003.

Family and friends were Maurice’s top priority followed closely by his love of his camp at Island Lake where he spent his spare time building Picnic Tables. For 44 years he worked as a Pressman at the Sault Star and even after retirement he needed the smell of the ink and often returned to visit with the Sault Star staff and press room gang.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gerard Majella Church, Pentagon Blvd, with Rev. Francis Ezenezi officiating, on Thursday, November 5th, at 1:30pm. Followed by a reception in the parish hall. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers the Pelletier family would appreciate memorial contribution to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or the C.N. I. B.

On October 29, 2009 at the age of 85, Lucille Greco Daly, daughter of V.E. (Jim) and Bridget Greco joined many loved ones in heaven. Loving wife of 57 years to Dr. Eugene Daly. Devoted mother of Betty Heydon (Richard Harris), Bridget Daly (John LeFevre) and Kathy Daly (Ross Szarenski). Nonna will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Rachel Heydon (Sean Cavanaugh); James Heydon (Gosia); Kyra Harris; Miles and August LeFevre; Evan, Alex and Owen Szarenski; and great grandson Oliver Cavanaugh. Lucille was the dear sister of Sr. Immaculata, Carolyn Landay, Sr. Leila and sister-in-law of Betty Greco. She was predeceased by brothers Dr. Eugene Greco (Margaret), Dr. Ernest Greco and sisters Rose Francolini (Steve), Evelyn Nanne (Mike), Isabelle Rebellato (Tony), Rita Boniferro (Albert) and brother-in-law Andrew Landay. Fun-loving Aunty Lu will always be remembered by many special nieces and nephews. Lucille was a graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing, Sault General Hospital and received a post-graduate degree from St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. Most of her nursing years were spent in Detroit, Michigan. She was well known by the cottagers at Point Aux Pins where she spent many happy summers. Peacefully passed away at the Sault Area Hospital-General Site on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Maxine. Loving father of Carrol (Gary), Bob (Pam) and the late Karen. Cherished grandfather of James, Karen, Daniel, David and Katelyn. Dear brother of Rhoda (late Allan) and Ken (Barbara). Predeceased by Austin (late Mae), Edith (late Ted) and Tom (late Mary). Merlin will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A private family service was held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, October 29, 2009. With much regret, we announce the sudden passing of
our brother, Ronald at his residence in Chilliwack, B.C. on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in his 80th year. Ron was the husband of the late Jacqui Ruttan and beloved father of Barry, Danny, Penny, Michael and the late Lyn. He was Grandpa to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Catherine Watkins and brother of the late Joyce Bolduc and late Patricia Yakich. Ron is survived by his sister Kathleen Bouchard and brother, David (Marie). Funeral arrangements and burial will be in Chilliwack, B.C.
