Car donated to Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste Marie & Area is ecstatic to announce that we have received a very generous donation of a car! The 2004 Honda Element was donated to Habitat by local couple Isabelle Michaud and Dave Broadbeck and will serve the organization well, allowing us to have a greater presence in the community and to strengthen and improve the quality of our procurement program.

Of the donation, Isabelle Michaud says “I am proud of what I am doing, and I hope that this will help to make other people in the community aware that [donating to Habitat] is an option”. Thank you Isabelle and Dave for choosing to support the work of Habitat in our community!  Working with the support of generous community members like Isabelle and Dave, we will continue moving forward with our mission- building homes and building hope in Sault Ste Marie & Area.

Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area is an established not-for-profit organization which seeks to mobilize volunteers and community partners to build affordable and decent housing in Sault Ste. Marie. We work in partnership with local families in need of affordable housing; families contribute 500 hours of Sweat Equity and repay a 0% interest mortgage over time. The Habitat model provides a sustainable solution for hard working local families in need of affordable housing- a hand up, not a hand out.
