One person has been charged following an investigation into a gathering that took place on Hughes Street on May 22 of this year.
In a news release issued today, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that one local individual was identified as organizing the gathering and was charged under the Reopening Ontario Act.
The gathering was in violation of provincial health and safety restrictions at the time.
Sault police did not release the name of the individual.
If convicted, the accused will face a minimum fine of $10,000.
