Christopher McMullin, 34, was killed in an ATV accident north of Sault Ste. Marie on April 22.

An ATV driver killed in a collision north of the city has been identified as 34-year-old Christopher McMullin — “a kind and beloved soul” who “was a friend to everyone.”

McMullin’s obituary, posted this morning by his family, confirms he died in Monday’s ATV accident on Red Rock Road.

“If there is any consolation we can take away from this tragedy, Chris was doing what he loved being outdoors with his chums,” the obituary reads. “Christopher was such a big personality, a kind and beloved soul who touched the lives of many in both Ontario and Michigan during his short life.”

The eldest of four children, Christopher “led by example, ensuring his siblings were safe and secure, especially Conner.”

"Christopher was a friend to everyone," to obit continues. "A kind and genuine person. His kind nature and hard work ethic, along with his intelligence and humour made him a force to reckon with."

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, April 27 at the Machine Shop.

“He loved life with all of his heart and loved his family, friends and work family with unparalleled passion,” the obituary says. “His quick smile and wit would light up any room he entered and he would make everyone feel equally welcome and warmly accepted.
