Learn about city's sustainability initiatives at free webinar

Wednesday evening talk will cover projects from 2023 and those in works for 2024

The Sault Climate Hub is hosting a webinar presentation by Emily Cormier, sustainability coordinator at the City of Sault Ste. Marie this Wednesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Cormier leads sustainability initiatives across the organization, including the implementation of the Sault Ste. Marie Community Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan, the climate hub said in a release.

In 2023, Cormier was the Environmental Award winner of the 2023 Village Media Community Builders Awards given to a person or group that has had an important positive impact on our environment.

She also received the Strive Young Professionals Group, 2023 Algoma Visionary Award for the Environment and Natural Resources Industry.

Cormier will be speaking about a variety of energy and sustainability projects and initiatives that the city implemented in 2023 and highlight those that are underway and planned for 2024.
